John-Mark Collins / Creative Director John-Mark is a creative problem solver whose passion lies in using technology to augment the real world in beautiful and engaging ways.  John-Mark received his BS in Computer Engineering and MBA from the University of New Mexico. In addition to technology, John-Mark has studied in both Art and Architecture and has participated in several public electronic arts exhibitions.  He has worked with a variety of clients, including Coca-Cola, Starbucks, HP, Intel, several Smithsonian Institutions as well as Fermi, SLAC, and Sandia National Laboratories.   The drive behind Storylab stems from the wonder and awe shown on a daily basis by his two young daughters, Lola and Mila.

Joel Castellanos / Software Director Joel is a software creator with a passion for merging education and research with entertainment and beauty.  Joel has taught undergraduate computer science at the University of New Mexico for ten years where he supervised senior projects in Virtual Reality, Game Development and Data Visualization using C++, OpenGL, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, Unity and Unreal Engine. Before joining UNM, Joel was a senior software engineer developing scientific simulations and visualizations for ASRC Aerospace and Lockheed Martin at Kirtland Airforce Base and in Fort Worth Texas.

Lynne Newton / Executive Producer Lynne Newton is a museum and heritage professional with 20 yrs experience conducting archaeological fieldwork and 10+ yrs working in museums, most recently as the Curator of Maritime History at the National Museum of Qatar. With a PhD in anthropology from the University of Minnesota, Lynne has also worked as a consultant on museum projects as a curator, researcher, and interpretive planner. She has ample project management experience and has worked with museums and private companies to deliver custom software for interactive exhibits. Lynne is a Master Gardener and in her free time participates in community garden and outreach programs.

Darko Marinkovic / Business Development Lead - Cleveland Studio Director Darko believes in the beauty of a unique personal story and the opportunity that interactive mediums present in telling that story. His passion for personal connectivity has lead him through a career in hospitality where stories are shared on a daily basis. Two decades of experience in the restaurant industry has allowed for opportunities in event management, brand development, marketing, and pushing the creative boundaries on how food & beverage is prepared and consumed. These creative roles have resulted in numerous awards including Cleveland’s Most Inspired by Bombay Sapphire Gin. Darko has also served as Brand Ambassador for the global spirit brand Domaine de Canton. His work has been featured in The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Scene Magazine, Free Times, Cleveland Magazine, and GQ Magazine. He gets the most joy and inspiration in watching his toddler son, Theo, rock out on various musical instruments.

Tamara Sutton / Graphic Designer Tamara is a graphic designer at Storylab who loves to find solutions for visual challenges. Ben's hobbies include gaming, playing piano, hiking, and climbing.

Ben's hobbies include gaming, playing piano, hiking, and climbing.

Rowan Castellanos / CS and Media Intern Rowan is a junior at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She is a computer science major and an economics minor. Rowan plans on attending graduate school for a masters in computer engineering once she graduates. She uses her seven years of film experience together with her programming skills to create videos for Storylab.
